"I played that character knowing that on the one side you had Tom [Wilkinson] who is the out-there bad ass of the piece, and then you had Johnny Quid, his son, and I have knowledge of that past relationship between them. So I kind of always just assumed that Archie was going to be a fairly likeable kind of guy who did the bidding of his boss, so there must have been a soft streak in him that he takes care of the boy and has for all of his life. And in fact Guy said – and you know he's written a second and a third, or there's a plot line for the second and the third movies – and they go back and examine the relationship between Johnny and Archie growing up, which is why this movie finishes with them. There's a whole history that we don't know about between them, so I kind of knew going into the movie that Archie, Johnny and Lenny all had baggage, but in that little dysfunctional family, I suppose that Archie is the caring feminine side."

я прямо вижу, как Джонни ставит условие, что дядя Арчи будет ходить дома в одном фартуке, а дядя Арчи привычно и виртуозно посылает его по не столь отдаленному адресу, и Джонни смеется как больной.
